80s Double Exposure Calico

This request has been hugely popular lately! This type of image was popularized in the 80’s by companies like Olan Mills, and is called a double-exposure portrait. These days, no fancy camera work is needed, you can achieve the same effect with photoshop.

The “Olan Meows” brand is owned and operated by a couple in the UK. The idea and play on words using the old “Olan Mills” logo is adorable, but to be honest, I am not a fan of the hazy overlay they seem to put on all their images that washes out the colors. I also noticed that since the style went viral on Reddit, their prices have drastically increased, LOL!
