Marines T-Shirt

Hey folks,

I need some assistance on our shirt design.

Background: I am a formal school instructor for the USMC CBRN school, and every class we make a class shirt and ask the students (Marines in the schoolhouse) to make a design for us to submit for printing on the shirts. The company we use started charging a lot of money to make insignificant edits and our students are all bottom pay-grades and don’t make enough to cover all these costs for artwork. I am willing to pay for a good product that we can submit to a shirt printing company with the requested edits. I’ve never done this before so please let me know if more is needed for this to happen.

Request:

Given the image included, there are a few edits we would like to be made.

-Reaper should be made to look more slim, particularly around the waist. Also please either remove the rank insignia on left arm OR make it look more natural and distinguished (the rank is Staff Sergeant, USMC, E-6). Also open to making the reaper look more badass if that’s a thing.

-Boat; this may be more complex and is not a big deal to have, but if it could be made to look like it crashed into ice and the terrain around it be made to resemble water, that would be cool too. Again, this is not a necessary edit and is to the artists discretion if they think it would look better as is or with this edit.

-Guitar should be made more proportional to the size of the truck to be more realistic. I also would accept it if the guitar were in the back of the truck in the bed.

-Duck; if there’s a way to make the duck look more badass, please do. Not a necessary edit, but if made please consider the space available and keep relatively the same size.

-Goldfish; same notes as the duck.

-Border; we would like the border of the picture to not be confined or clearly defined when printed on the shirt, so if the terrain were to simply expand continuously and sporadically to make a less defined border that would be great. The idea is that this picture would be on the back of the shirts and would not take up the entirety of the back but it should be a big enough size that all the details are captured well.

Additional Items Needed

The following needs to be displayed on the shirt prominently without interrupting the details of the image: “CBRN 4-25” my though it that it could be slanted around the mushroom cloud at the top. I am open to ideas.

The following needs to be displayed on the shirt as well but must be all together as written below, but center aligned instead of left-to-right: PLT SGT: SSGT “HOG” HIGGINS A/PLT SGT: SGT “DUCK” DONALDSON INSTRUCTOR: SSGT “GOLDFISH” GOLDING

Thank you bigtime to anyone that can assist. This needs to be a fast turnover, so the quicker the better. I will gladly pay for a good product AND give you a tip as well. I’m not sure what a solid payment for this type of work looks like, but we were being charged about $350 for comparable edits or less and that is far too much to be charging these young Marines in addition to the shirt and hoodie fees. I am available for questions or anything if needed. If you would like, I would also be willing to purchase you a T-shirt or hoodie as a tip when we finalize everything if that is preferred; simply ask.
