Superhero Family Portrait

This was a fun edit that led me down a rabbit hole and introduced me to a new artist. Since the photo of the painting that the requester wanted to mimic was taken at an angle, I wanted to see if I could find another copy of it. What I found instead was the true original, which was painted by Sacha Goldberger. Sacha did an entire series of superhero portraits, reimagined as though they had lived during the Renaissance Era. He even used well known faces of actors who had portrayed these heroes, such as Superman/Christopher Reeve, The Joker/Heath Ledger, Wonder Woman/Lynda Carter, and The Hulk/Lou Ferrigno.

Armed with multiple examples of superheroes dressed in Renaissance garb, I was able to get ChatGPT to create a nice painting mimicking the poses of the family photo, and the style of the Sacha Goldberger paintings. Then of course, because ChatGPT always changes the faces too much, I added in the real photo faces of the family. Then to blend it all together, I took the image into Corel Painter and painted the whole thing.
